Purpose of the Job


Interlocking engineering from function definition and specification down to detailed schematics and Interlocking software and hardware lifecycle. Ability to deploy the sub-system on a project.

Deliver the content of a specific Work Package by achieving the agreed QCD commitment

Responsibilities


  • Independently applies extensive expertise as a generalist or specialist to meet company standards and customer requirements including the design of complex new / modified products/ systems. Defines specifications for new or modified products / systems in area of specialization to meet contract requirements. Performs responsibilities with limited direction from the manager.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems requiring innovation and creativity. Provides technical leadership to individuals or teams in resolving problems as defined above.
  • Advises and provides technical direction on assigned project(s) to other technical staff reporting within same project(s).
  • Leads or participate in technical discussions directly with customer and represents / protects the company’s interest. Works with project manager involving potential modifications to company’s specifications delivered so far.
  • Leads and provides input for cross – functional teams at project schedules.
  • Reviews specification documents and manages input to technical proposal and cost estimates as requested.
  • Provides technical input to or provides required documentation as needed per assigned procedure, process and activity being performed including partnering with technical writing / training staff.
  • Mentors those less experienced in the department.
  • Proovides support CBI Project Engineering team in its competency acquisition, competency development plan, technical decision making, Analysis / trouble shooting of issues reported from site,
  • Review CBI Application Design team KPIs and propose development plan.
  • Participate in assessment of CBI application Design team members by providing 360 degree peer feedback to CBI Dept Head.
  • Organize & support for the design reviews of the projects.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and resolution of issuess detected in team deliverables.
  • Keeps abreast of technologies used by the company, industries to remain current and prepared for technology chances within the work environment.
  • Performs other related activities as requested.
  • Knowledge & Experience


  • 12 + years of Signalling experience
  • Technical expertise in functional area
  • Exhibited leadership in directing the activities of others in area of specialisation
  • Degree in Electrical engineering or Electronics Engineering
  • Required  Experience / Skill Set


  • Circuit design experience. Knowledge of signalling equipments, operational analysis, transportation and operating procedures.

    Process advance working knowledge in following areas:


  • Vital login design, hardware and / or software
  • Non-vital logic design hardware and / or software
  • Typical drawings design & verification
  • Excellent interlocking product knowledge
  • Circuit check
  • Detail design
  • Generation design and / or operations descriptions
  • Route chart / Aspect Chart
  • Block Design
  • Control Design
  • Track Plan design
  • Control Table Design
