The multidisciplinary Department of Biological and BiomedicalSciences based in the Aga Khan University, Medical College Pakistan, strives to deliver high-quality undergraduate and graduate education cutting across and integrating the disciplines of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology and Pharmacology. Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Instructor in the Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences.


Responsibilities


You will be responsible for:


  • teaching at the undergraduate (MBBS) level through lectures, laboratory (for Anatomy, this includes gross and microscopic anatomy lab sessions) and small-group sessions, including problem-based learning sessions and other tutorials
  • contributing in the development and implementation of the curriculum
  • preparing exam questions, participating in question review sessions and students’ performance evaluation process
  • engaging actively in research and the academic activities of the department and the institution.

Requirements


You should have:


  • an MBBS degree from HEC recognized or reputable foreign university/institution
  • at least two years of experience of teaching to undergraduate medical students, preferably in PBL-based curriculum
  • strong commitment to research
  • good research experience with papers published
  • good teaching skills and knowledge of new teaching methodologies.
