What does Head of IoT Presales do?

The Head of Presales - IoT is responsible for leading the presales team to support and drive the technical sales process for IoT solutions. This role will require close collaboration with sales, product, and platform teams, providing thought leadership and deep technical expertise to secure new business and ensure customer success. Head of Presales - IoT will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of technical presales experts to support the sales organization in driving new business and expanding existing customer accounts. This position will leverage deep knowledge of IoT technologies and industry-specific use cases to craft innovative, scalable solutions that meet customer needs. Head of Presales - IoT leadership will ensure alignment between sales, product, platform and delivery teams, enabling a seamless and impactful customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the presales team, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills, tools, and resources to support sales efforts.
• Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements, develop technical proposals, and present tailored IoT solutions to clients.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product management, R&D, and marketing teams to ensure IoT solutions are aligned with customer needs and market trends.
• Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about the competitive landscape and contribute to the development of competitive positioning and messaging for IoT offerings.
• Pre-sales Strategy & Process Improvement: Develop and implement presales strategies, including best practices, processes, and tools to increase efficiency and win rates.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Head of IoT Presales?

• Strong understanding of IoT architecture, platforms, cloud computing, and edge computing technologies.
• Expertise in key IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, etc.) and connectivity technologies (e.g., 5G, LoRaWAN, Bluetooth, etc.).
• Familiarity with analytics platforms, machine learning integration, and data processing in an IoT context.
• Knowledge of enterprise IT systems, enterprise integration, and security challenges in IoT environments.
