We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Directory Services and Enterprise Platforms.
Location: Pune / Hyderabad
Role Purpose:
As the Head of Directory Services and Enterprise Platforms, you will provide strategic direction and leadership for the Identity and access management authentication control design and implementation with an in depth knowledge of Identity and Access Management technologies, process and best practices.
Responsible for the strategic roadmap related to authentication controls both on prem and cloud along with enforcing Identity and Access Management controls across the enterprise platforms within the bank. This is predominantly a global leadership role and the role holder will have responsibility for a diverse team of control specialists and Engineering specialists along with SME resources to support interaction with partners and driving execution of the strategy.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the development of the Identity and Access Management policies, procedures, and standards to be implemented across all enterprise platforms.
- Manage the use of directories, secure LDAP, and single sign-on (SSO) technologies for authentication and authorization services.
- Oversee and manage directory infrastructure and services, including directory servers (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP), federation servers, and the like.
- Own and drive Identity and Access Management password less and multi factor authentication strategy across the bank.
- Focus on service availability as a key priority reducing potential downtime/incidents of key Identity and Access Management services owned.
- In collaboration with the Cybersecurity and CTO teams, oversee and maintain an effective identity and access management program that aligns with industry best practices and standards.
- Ensure that solutions meet business security and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and lead engineering efforts for Identity and Access Management services, solutions, and integrations across all enterprise platforms.
- Participate in the selection and approval of vendors, products, and technologies related to identity and access management services.
- Develop and manage the Identity and Access Management budget, including vendor contracts and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as product engineering, data security, network operations, and business operations, to develop and maintain efficient programs
- The role is expected to make independent judgments and decisions in forming and maintaining Identity and Access Management strategy related to authentication that aligns with goals of HSBC
- Lead the collaboration with other IT and Business functions including Technology, Architecture and Global Cloud Services (GCS) on behalf of Identity and Access Management
- Engage and manage a team of diverse colleagues, lead them to demonstrate common goals
Impact on Business
- Ensure that Directory Services and Enterprise Platforms is aligned to current risks and emerging business needs are represented and maintained
- Own the communication and visibility of Directory Services and Enterprise Platforms and its value to business stakeholders at a Global Business / Global Function and regional/entity level
Customers / Stakeholders:
- Ensure the IAM strategy aligns with industry trends, regulatory requirements and market expectations to ensure it allows HSBC colleagues to serve their customers in an effective, reliable and safe way.
- Report directly to the Global Head of Identity & Access Management and act as the senior IAM representative in discussions with 1st, 2nd and 3rd lines of defence (internal) and regulator/3rd parties (external) on all matters relating to Business user access strategy, risk reduction, control improvements and efficiency gains as outcomes from the strategy
