About Us:

Markaz is on the mission to supercharge the rails of e-commerce for the common man in Pakistan. We want to empower the Pakistani middle class, with a special focus on women who are currently not part of the Pakistani financial ecosystem, and help establish hundreds of thousands of new online entrepreneurs in the coming years. We enable anyone in Pakistan to start their online business with zero investment from the comfort of their home and make money by selling products through different social media channels like WhatsApp and Facebook. All they have to do is download the Markaz app, get access to 1,000s of products, share them on their social media with a profit margin and get orders. Markaz will take care of everything else: delivery, payments, customer experience and profit dissemination.

Job Overview:

As a Growth Associate at Markaz, you will be at the forefront of our mission to empower 1M+ micro-entrepreneurs in Pakistan. If you're passionate about product-led growth, analytics, and user experience this role is perfect for you.

Responsibilities:

• Lead onboarding, activation, and in-product education activities.
• Work with internal stakeholders to execute and scale campaigns, reconcile payments with Finance and ensure product-market fit.
• Analyze data and customer feedback to determine effective strategies and drive user engagement.
• Develop reporting mechanisms and conduct analysis to periodically share key insights across the company and evaluate campaign effectiveness.
• Understand real drivers of user response and value in our three-sided marketplace.
• Leverage growth marketing channels and perform automated A/B testing to optimize approaches.
• Use in-app communication channels, including push notifications, SMS, and carousel, to engage users.
• Collaborate with product, category, and tech teams to create a unified content and lifecycle strategy.

Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Sciences or related field.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar role 
• Strong proficiency in SQL 
• Familiarity with Power BI or Python is a plus.
• Self starter with experience working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Ability to translate operational work into tech-oriented solutions.
