Grant Writer, Family Medicine

Responsibilities:


The incumbent will be responsible for:


  • working with the team to develop short-term goals for expansion of research;
  • using online databases, grant directories, and funding websites to research potential grant opportunities;
  • exploring government grants, private foundations, corporate grants, and nonprofit organization;
  • writing grant proposal by conducting a thorough review of existing literature;
  • collaborating with the faculty members(s) in identifying relevant;
  • reviewing the call for proposals for the terms & conditions and documents required;
  • providing information to core team for submission of grant applications and obtaining internal approvals;
  • searching for grant opportunities announced by the government and non-government agencies;
  • carefully reviewing the call for proposals for the terms & conditions and timelines;
  • working with the chair, faculty members, and the respective director(s) to draft grant proposals and support documents based on the funding requirements of the funding agencies;
  • providing details to the departmental grant managers for the development of the budget and complete pre-award review process;
  • facilitating in submitting proposals to the granting agency on behalf of the PI and respond to the queries related to the submitted proposals;
  • maintaining recordsandsubmittingreportsrelatedtograntopportunities.

Requirements:


The incumbent should have:


  • a Master's degree in public health, or related disciplines. Candidates with MBBS/PhD will be preferred;
  • excellent research, organizational, and communications skills;
  • excellent writing and editing skills;
  • ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • proven work experience as a Grant Writer or similar role;
  • study and understand the objectives of the research team.
