Job Description

JPMorganChase & Co.is a leading global financial services firm with assets of $2 trillion and operations in more than 60 countries.  The firm is a leader in Investment Banking, Financial Services for consumers, small business and commercial banking, financial transaction processing, asset management and private equity.  Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) team is part of JPMorgan’s Global Risk and Compliance organization.


The GFCC organization has over 1,900 professionals across the world.  The team is responsible for developing the requirements and standards for the Firm's Enterprise-Wide Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions Programs.  GFCC is comprised of eight core functions, aligned with the businesses and regional teams.  One of the core functions is Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Investigations. 


GFCC personnel work cooperatively with the other global functions and businesses to identify, assess and quantify the level of risk associated with the firm’s products, services, customers, transactions and geographic locations to develop appropriate policies, procedures, and processes to monitor, control and mitigate the associated risks.


Our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) function plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of our operations across EMEA, APAC, and North America. We are seeking a Vice President to lead the training and procedure program coordination for our operational teams, comprising approximately 300 full-time employees (FTEs). In this role, the Vice President will report directly to the AML Executive Director, with a dotted line to the Global Head of Quality and Training Oversight located in the US.


In this highly impactful role, the individual will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing the training agenda and procedures for EMEA, APAC, and NA operational teams, and engaging with our exam and audit teams. The role requires a level of decision making, judgment, creation, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment. This individual will work effectively with minimal supervision to align with the responsibilities outlined by the function. 


In addition, this individual will be part of an energetic and demanding department where they will be expected to lead in the areas of teamwork, resourcefulness, while exercising sound judgement and the highest degree of confidentiality in the handling of information received in the course of their responsibilities. 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Training Development and Management:
    • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive AML training programs tailored to the needs of EMEA, APAC, and NA operational teams.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is current, relevant, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Procedure Management:
    • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and dissemination of AML policies and procedures across the operational teams.
    • Ensure that all procedures align with regulatory standards and best practices in the industry.
    • Conduct regular reviews and updates of procedures to reflect changes in regulations, business processes, and emerging risks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as a liaison between the Hyderabad team and the Global Training and Procedure Management Lead in the US to ensure alignment on training and procedural initiatives.
    • Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to identify training needs and procedural gaps, facilitating a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present reports on training effectiveness, compliance metrics, and procedural adherence to senior management.
    • Analyze trends and data to identify areas for improvement in training and procedures, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Leadership and Mentorship:
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and development within the AML function.
    • Communicate a clear vision, direction, and purpose
    • Lead cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing AML training and procedural frameworks.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Anti-Money Laundering, Compliance, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role.
  • Proven experience in training development and procedure management within a financial services or regulatory environment.
  • Strong understanding of AML regulations and best practices across EMEA, APAC, and NA regions.
  • Ability to facilitate engaging learning experiences that have measurable knowledge transfer to the work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks.
