Full Stack Developer

PakWheels.com is seeking a talented Full Stack Developer with expertise in Ruby on Rails and React to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust web applications, ensuring a seamless user experience, and driving our business goals forward. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in React on the front-end and Ruby on Rails on the back-end, with additional experience in modern web technologies and cloud services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React and other modern front-end frameworks.
• Build and maintain server-side logic and APIs using Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UX/UI, DevOps) to define, design, and ship new features.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and user engagement, focusing on the interplay between React and Ruby on Rails.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure clean, maintainable code and adherence to best practices in React and Rails.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack, with a focus on the React-Rails integration.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, particularly in the React and Rails ecosystems.
• Maintain and improve the existing codebase, ensuring a high standard of quality and performance.
• Cloud Services (AWS): Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus for deploying, scaling, and managing applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in full stack development with a strong focus on React (front-end) and Ruby on Rails (back-end).
• Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with React for building dynamic, user-friendly interfaces.
• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails for developing robust back-end systems and APIs.
• Familiarity with database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on React-Rails compatibility and application performance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to agile development practices.
• Bonus: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS for deploying, managing, and scaling applications.
