Role Purpose


  • The role of  engineer/ assessor is to critically assess the majority of structural, fire safety, electrical safety in manufacturing settings across industries.
  • Engineers/ Assessor will be expected to critically analyze facility practices against local laws, client codes of conduct, and best practices alone or under supervision of supervisor.
  • Expected to meet Key Performance Targets related to report turnaround time, report quality and management KPIs as per the annual goal setting.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Carry out the initial assessment visit and remediation follow-up verification visit on fire safety visit based on different requirement. Sound knowledge & technical skill on testing & commissioning, design drawings and calculations for fire protection system (automatic sprinkler & standpipe system), centralized and automatic fire detection and alarm system (CFDS).
  • Review drawing/documents of fire protection system (automatic sprinkler & standpipe system), centralized and automatic fire detection and alarm system (CFDS) as per local and international guidelines (BNBC, NFPA, IFC, IBC etc. guidelines).
  • Review fire protection construction materials, fire rated doors/lifts/shutter/damper, fire rated expansion joint/sealant materials, fire rated gypsum boards for providing required fire barriers in egress path & occupancy separation as per standard.
  • Capable to provide solution oriented feedback in case of remediation complexity and speed up remediation based on specific standard guideline.
  • Conduct corrective action plan (CAP) in person meeting along with factories and others.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Civil, Industrial, or from a university recognized by the National Engineering Institute or equivalent international professional qualifications.
  • Minimum 4 years of design experience or experience in carrying out assessments of existing buildings and be familiar with key fire safety principles in industrial buildings.
  • Shall hold certifications in Fire prevention and protection and Fire Safety design from recognized institutes.
  • Ideally experience of at least three existing building assessments in the last two years
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both Bangla and English (capable for conduct opening and closing meeting during assessment, achieve TAT based on assigned task and competent in report writing.)
  • Having a good software operating skill including basic engineering software like (AutoCAD etc) is a MUST
  • Keep track and real time update on global industry best practices in occupational industrial health & safety, research, problem solving and advancements in technology. 
  • Curiosity in Learning, critical thinking, attention to detail, problem solving skills
  • Good presentation skills and Interpersonal skills
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet-research / reporting / analysis tools
