Job Description

Job Purpose


Financial Controlling Manager (FCM) will be responsible for the performance of the multiple markets managed by Financial Controllers who will be reporting to this role. FCM would provide oversight, guidance, direction to highlight the risk and to ensure its mitigation while supporting the Finance Director (FD) for their Markets by delivering right first-time reporting and analysis which is insightful, timely and supports the business to report accurate financial results. The Financial Controlling Manager will be responsible for managing a team of finance professional in a complex multi-layer organizational structure, engaging with senior stakeholders.


The role helps to deliver the Finance vision of a “world class finance function driven by GSK purpose, strategy and vision.


Education, Experience & Skills


  • ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CFA, MBA Finance


  • 12-15 years of work experience with strong expertise in accounting and reporting applied to the financial statements. Furthermore, need to be able to accurately implement controls & compliance for audit, statutory & tax related queries & activities.


  • Excellent Communication & Stakeholder management skills.


Key Responsibilities


  • Accountable for the reporting of financial results for the cluster of entities with commentary including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow etc. which is accurate and complete.


  • Fully compliant with all relevant accounting standards, current best practices and any other regulations including the ICFW Controls at GSK.


  • Consistently applies accounting policies which are appropriate to the current business environment.


  • Compliant with all aspects of the internal / external financial control environment


  • Delivers insight to the business in key areas of risk, growth and performance making recommendations for continuous improvements and remedial action as required.


  • Manages a team of Financial Controllers, in line with the GSK Values & culture, drive individual & team performance, ensure timely & quality recruitment, develop / coach / mentor the team members and create strong succession plans for key roles while fostering engagement and motivation in the team.


  • Provide oversight & direction for all aspects of the financial month end review process, including Inventory, Profit release, OE and Headcount reporting requirements this will also require co-ordination of activities across markets in the Region, Genpact etc.


  • Contribute into Cluster business review meetings as appropriate.


  • Oversight of statutory reporting process, external and internal financial audits of the markets.


  • Drive improvement in cluster financial reporting & analysis including local, regional and BPO (Genpact) teams under its remit.
