Aga Khan University invites application for the position of Fellow Medical Officer (Body Imaging) in the Department of Radiology.
Responsibilities:
- demonstrating punctuality and comply with departmental norms
- conducting radiology clinical sessions on campus and/or off-campus
- performing clinical responsibilities in patient assessment, diagnostic procedures, and post-procedure care
- undertaking rotations in radiology areas, including general reporting, cross-sectional imaging, CT scanning, and ultrasound
- conducting reporting sessions, radiological services, and procedures as defined in the monthly rota
- teaching students, residents, and radiographers, supporting the residency program and participating in administrative committees as assigned
- facilitating academic sessions, postgraduate seminars, and multidisciplinary meetings
- contributing to the learning of healthcare professionals while staying updated on current medical literature and advancements
- participating in institutional CME, public awareness programs, and interdisciplinary meetings with other specialties
- conducting at least one clinical audit annually and assist in audit processes and documentation
- prepare and present cases in clinical meetings
- maintaining a comprehensive logbook of procedures, radiation dosage records, and academic activities
- engaging in research activities, including authoring case reports, writing articles, and presenting at national/international radiology conferences
- providing exemplary professional and academic leadership to fellows and residents
- participating in call duties as assigned, including periodic evening/weekend coverage and teaching undergraduates when required
- following the guidelines of the fellowship manual and ensure high standards of medical care and service delivery.
Requirements:
- MBBS degree with PMDC registration
- completion of a structured residency program
- FCPS Part II certification
- one year of house job/internship experience
- comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic radiology and basic sciences
- strong diagnostic and procedural skills
- proficiency in patient assessment, history-taking, and developing diagnostic plans
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- commitment to high ethical standards and patient welfare
- dedication to continuous learning and professional growth.
