Job Title: Expert Financial Analyst Job Type: Full-Time, RemoteWorking Hours: 8pm - 4am PST (Night Shift)Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Expert Financial Analyst to join our team on a remote, full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills, experience with financial analysis tools such as Data Rails, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and a deep understanding of financial reporting, data management, and forecasting. A must-have requirement is experience and a strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Key Responsibilities:Financial Analysis: Provide in-depth analysis of financial data, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to help guide strategic decision-making.Reporting: Prepare, review, and present accurate and timely financial reports for management, ensuring all data is well-organized and actionable.Excel Expertise: Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas) to manipulate large datasets, create models, and support financial reporting.Data Management: Use Data Rails to consolidate financial data, automate reporting, and enhance data accuracy. Maintain data integrity across multiple financial platforms.QuickBooks Online (QBO): Manage financial transactions, reconciliations, and monthly close processes within QuickBooks Online, ensuring accurate records and compliance with company standards.Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist with the development of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial strategies based on business performance and trends.Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to streamline financial processes, reporting workflows, and data management practices.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including accounting, operations, and executive management, to ensure financial insights align with overall business goals.Problem-Solving: Analyze financial discrepancies, identify root causes, and provide actionable recommendations to resolve issues.Requirements:Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, Senior Analyst, or similar role, with a solid understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.Experience with Data Rails for financial data management and reporting.Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) for financial management and reporting.Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and business metrics.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial data to non-financial stakeholders.Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze complex financial data and generate actionable insights.Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Comfortable working a night shift (8pm - 4am PST) in a remote, flexible work environment.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on financial matters, addressing inquiries and providing financial guidance.Preferred Qualifications:ACCA/CA/CMA/ICMA or related field.Certification such as CFA, CPA, or similar.Experience working in a remote environment with familiarity of collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, and others.ExperienceTo excel in this role, you should possess the following experience and skills:4 - 5 Years of working experience in a reputable firm working with US clients is a must.Proficiency in Excel: Demonstrated ability to work with Excel spreadsheets effectively.Accounting Software Expertise: Proven experience with QuickBooks online and Xero accounting software.US GAAP Experience: A must-have requirement is experience and a strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Why VASL?At VASL, we are seeking the brightest talent to join us in our mission to become the premier "business process as a service" provider worldwide.
