What is Expert ESG?


We are looking for an ambitious resource with stakeholder engagement capabilities. Expert ESG will help us showcase Jazz Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) work on external platforms. Will have a make it happen approach with strong organizational and communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and strong work ethics. Highly organized and focused while able to multi-task and adapt to changing priority levels for ongoing projects. Will be familiar with ESG global practices, standards and protocols. Expert ESG has “Hands on” personality and commitment to finding practical solutions.


The role reports directly to the Manager, Environment & Climate Change  and has 0 people reporting directly into it with an extended team of 2 team members.


What Expert ESG does?


Key responsibilities: 


The Expert ESG will be responsible for;


  • Building collaboration and networking among industry and cross-industry peers (public and private organizations, development sector, NGOs, research institutes, academia, customers, suppliers, local communities etc.) for knowledge sharing on ESG initiatives, decarbonization and circular economy strategies,
  • Creating opportunities for Jazz ESG team on various speaking platforms,
  • Conduct interviews, host panel discussions, workshops and conferences etc.,
  • Scaling the Jazz ESG initiatives via speed and magnitude,
  • Showcasing Jazz achievements, promoting and building linkages for Jazz ESG team at important platforms,

·         Create, manage, and deliver materials including project workplans, timelines etc.


Key Deliverables:


  • Analysis report of projects related to ESG initiatives, prioritization and scheduling events,
  • Continuous monitoring and deep understanding of ESG trends, best practices and the relevant frameworks,
  • Development of ESG related policies, procedures and guidelines,
  • Developing reports and presenting task progress and results to management and to other interested parties,
  • Reviewing and accurately entering information regarding records of engagement or other communications,
  • Writing summaries of individual engagement activities and project engagement programs, sharing them with corporate communication teams (internal and external) for publication,
  • Producing standard and ad hoc reports about engagement activities, concerns, commitments and outstanding actions for the company, regulators and others.

Requirements


Experience and Educational requirements:


  • 16 years of Education from a HEC recognized institution (preferably from an ESG-related program) or equivalent from a foreign University/College.
  • ESG related experience with government and private sector,
  • Experience of working on ESG programs in development sector (preferably UN, GIZ, WWF),
  • Hosting and organizing workshops, conferences, focus group discussions etc.,
  • Ability of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines,
  • Proven ability to engage and align diverse stakeholder groups on ESG goals,

Soft skills and technical skills required:


  • Fluency in English, with exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills along with the ability to successfully interact with stakeholders across organizational and hierarchy lines,
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and very good knowledge of MS Office in general,
  • Familiarity with the ESG framework and sustainability reporting initiatives and global best practices,
  • Very good analytical and excellent project management skills,
  • Ability to manage several projects in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
