Location: Reko Diq Mine Site Balochistan/Karachi

Qualification

Bachelors degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum 2-4 years of experience in procurement, expediting, or supply chain management roles, preferably in the mining or industrial sector.

Requirements

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor purchase orders (POs) using procurement systems and tools to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials in line with project or operational schedules.
• Proactively identify potential delays or risks in the supply chain and take necessary steps to mitigate them.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all POs, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to expedite deliveries, resolve delays, and address any issues that may impact on-time performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and improve service levels.
• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and address any discrepancies or changes in orders.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments, including procurement, warehouse, and production, to provide updates on the status of orders and anticipated delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate transportation and shipping of goods, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations where necessary.
• Work closely with the Site-Based Senior Buyer to provide updates and support procurement activities.
• Identify and analyze potential delays or issues in the supply chain, working proactively with suppliers and internal teams to find solutions and mitigate risks.
• Escalate critical issues to the Site-Based Senior Buyer and/or Procurement Lead as needed.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve delivery performance and reduce supply chain disruptions
• Provide regular reports and updates on the status of expediting activities, including delivery timelines, potential delays, and any issues encountered.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to streamline expediting processes and enhance supplier performance.
• Proactively identify opportunities to optimize the supply chain and reduce costs.
