Responsibilities
Track and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials in line with project or operational schedules.
Liaise with suppliers and vendors to expedite deliveries, resolve delays, and ensure on-time performance.
Communicate with internal departments, including procurement, warehouse, and production, to provide updates on the status of orders and anticipated delivery timelines.
Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
Identify potential delays or issues in the supply chain and work proactively with suppliers and internal teams to mitigate risks.
Ensure that delivered materials meet quality standards and specifications as outlined in the purchase order.
Work with the logistics team to coordinate transportation and shipping of goods, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations where necessary.
Assist in maintaining relationships with key suppliers to improve service levels and delivery performance.
Provide regular reports and updates on the status of expediting activities, including delivery timelines and any issues encountered.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline expediting processes and improve supplier performance.
