We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Accountable for all technology aspects across engineering and operate, operating a truly agile approach to product capability development within the constraints of a highly regulated industry.
- Manage the full life cycle of a technical team, providing clarity, ensuring they have the right skills for now and the future and helping to give them a bias for action.
- Align a technology strategy with the business and customer needs, as well as with multiple wider strategies. Deliver this through demonstrated deep technical understanding and hands-on where feasible.
- Direct activities to ensure products are developed to a realistic schedule, to the quality our customers expect and demand and maximising the value of our investment.
- Ensure compliance with bank-wide governance to benefit from the huge experience our organisation must keep our customers and business safe.
- Enforcing process discipline and improvements in areas of expertise, such as disciplined agile software delivery, production support processes, or continuous DevOps pipelines development, CI/CD.
- Defining and managing the project approach, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments and changes.
- Working with the Technology team and Product Owners to drive improvements in productivity through backlog management, maturity in the use of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and corresponding management of dependencies.
- Driving, managing, monitoring and reporting progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the programme management, internal stakeholders and/or steering committees. Making recommendations to influence decision-making to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation.
- Represent the global Messaging technical product across HSBC, evangelising, linking opportunities and thought leadership.
