As a Qualcomm Software Test Engineer, you will design, develop, create, and modify test cases and validate embedded software, cloud software, system algorithms, application software, automation, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Software Test Engineers collaborate across various engineering teams and functions to design and implement test plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
This position is for IOT Connectivity Test group of Qualcomm (Hyderabad)
§ The candidate will get exposure to BT/WLAN/RFID/Coex modules of Qualcomm connectivity solution.
§ The candidate will work on futuristic products for IOT segment such as Wearables/Industrial IOT/Robotics
§ Candidate will be actively involved in executing and automating Stress and stability cases for WLAN/Bluetooth test area and supporting the existing automation framework through feature additions, enhancements, and maintenance
§ The candidate will closely work with Development team and cross functional teams to deliver quality deliverable which goes to customers following well established QA processes
Experience: 1-4 years
Good experience in WLAN/BT technology - protocol feature testing, system optimization
· Proven Experience of wireless protocols and especially IEEE 802.11 ac/ax/be and Wi-Fi specifications (AP, STA, P2P, WPS, WFD, co-existence etc.)
· Basic knowledge of bluetooth GAP, A2DP, HFP, GATT and Obex profiles.
· Basic knowledge of WLAN technologies
· Good track record of doing Wi-Fi/BT protocol stack testing in embedded environment on wireless semiconductor chips
· Good knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, ARP)
· Good knowledge of WLAN tool: Wireshark, iperf, ixia chariot
· Good knowledge of Bluetooth tool: Ellysis, Frontline
· Should have working experience on different operating systems like, Android, Linux and Windows.
· Should have working experience industry tools like jira, github
· Hands-on experience in test automation.
· Proven Experience of Python, shell/batch scripting and had worked on any test framework development.
· Programming knowledge is a must.
· Pro-active, accountable and focused; with the ability to take ownership of project requirements without constant supervision.
· Should have good analytical skill to root cause the problem and debug the same
· Must possess strong communication, documentation and organizational skills
