Job Role / Responsibilities: 


You will supervise and manage electrical staff for safe and efficient operations of all electrical installation through regular computerized Maintenance Management System and ensure that repairs and maintenance is carried out according to standard engineering practices and in a cost-effective way. 


Specifically, you will be responsible to: 


  • supervising and managing the Electrical Staff to ensure that all repair and maintenance work is carried out according to standard engineering practices
  • planning and Managing Plant Preventive Maintenance and major breakdown jobs
  • providing  training to Electrical Staff on Electrical systems to update their knowledge
  • providing training to Electrical staff on the MEP part of electronically controlled equipment & BMS hardware 
  • carrying out Energy Conservation Activities to save maximum utility cost by discussing with staff and implementing adaptable ideas 
  • coordinating with users to ensure their satisfaction with the services provided 
  • inspecting Electrical installations at AKU to ensure minimum breakdown
  • inspecting ongoing major maintenance activities
  • safety precautions to be adopted
  • any other related task as assigned by the supervisor

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements: 


  • A Bachelor of Electrical / Electronics preferred or a Bachelor in Electrical / Electronic Technology from a recognized Institute 
  • 4 to 6 years’ of related work experience including 1 to 2 years’ of supervisory experience
  • Candidates with experience working with Solar Systems will be preferred.
  • sound knowledge of electrical and mechanical installations
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • good knowledge of programmable logic control-based systems sufficient knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials, common for electrical trade.
