About the job ENERGY EFFICIENCY & RESOURCE CONSERVATION SPECIALIST

COMPANY OVERVIEW


Our Client, a Karachi based company, seeks to appoint experienced professionals for the following role.


The Energy Efficiency & Resource Conservation Specialist will play a pivotal role in identifying, developing, and implementing energy-efficient solutions for various projects and processes. This position requires a professional with a strong technical background in energy systems, who can assess energy use patterns, propose optimization strategies, and support the adoption of renewable energy technologies. The Energy Efficiency & Resource Conservation Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve energy performance, reduce operational costs, and enhance sustainability practices within the organization.


Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct detailed energy & resource consumption audits to assess energy use, efficiency levels, and energy loss across facilities
  • Analyze energy & resource like water, paper etc. consumption data and prepare reports with actionable recommendations
  • Identify and implement energy & resource conservation measures that align with operational goals
  • Design and oversee energy-efficient solutions for HVAC, lighting, processes, and renewable energy systems
  • Work closely with design, procurement, and operations teams to implement energy-saving & resource conservation initiatives and technologies
  • Monitor project performance to ensure energy savings targets are met and provide post-implementation reviews 
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international energy efficiency regulations and sustainability standards 
  • Develop energy management strategies in line with regulatory requirements and company sustainability goals 
  • Evaluate the financial viability of energy-efficient systems and projects, including cost-benefit analysis and ROI calculations
  • Prepare project budgets and track expenses related to energy-saving measures
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest energy-efficient technologies, industry trends, and best practices
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other engineers, project managers, and facility managers on energy-saving techniques
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to integrate energy-efficient products and solutions
  • Create detailed technical reports, proposals, and presentations on energy efficiency and resource conservation findings and solutions
  • Maintain documentation related to energy audits, efficiency & resource conservation measures, and regulatory compliance

Education


  • Minimum 16 years of education preferably masters in Engineering from a renowned HEC recognized university or institution/equivalent foreign degree holder preferably in Electrical, Energy Management, or a related field.

Experience


  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience preferably in a large national/multinational organization with at least 1-2 years of related functional experience in a similar role at an equivalent position or in one level below position.

Requirements


  • Professional certification such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or LEED accreditation is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of energy management principles, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and renewable energy technologies
  • Strong understanding of energy management principles and methodologies
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks related to energy efficiency (e.g., ASHRAE, ISO 50001) 
  • Understanding of energy storage systems and demand-side management

Age


  • The candidate should be preferably not more than 33 years of age as of last date of submission of application.
