Certified Electrician from a recognized technical institute
Experience
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience to mining and process environment.
Requirements
Hand on experience of MV, LV cable termination and jointing.
Hand on experience of all type of AC/DC, MV and LV motors overhauling/rewinding.
Must be familiar with computer skills
Thorough understanding of facility electrical systems/electrical equipment including operation and maintenance of power generator, motors, transformers, UPS and other control system and workshop apparatus.
Responsibilities
Responsible for execution of daily, weekly, and monthly assigned electrical tasks.
Responsible for swift and safe rectification of faults, failures, NC to standard and inefficiencies as directed by supervisor.
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues before they lead to downtime or safety hazards.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical equipment.
Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices, manuals, and single line diagrams (SLD’s) to determine the root cause of malfunctions.
Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages or equipment failures, to minimize disruptions.
Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards, including lockout/tagout/try out procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment inventory.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to provide updates on work progress and any safety concerns.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications as needed to support project and facility operations.
