Job Summary:
As a Dry Food Department Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper stocking, rotation, and maintenance of dry food products in our store. You will assist customers in locating items, provide information about products, and ensure a clean and organized environment in the dry food section.
Job Responsibilities:
- Stocking and Merchandising:
- Receive, unload, and store dry food shipments, checking for accuracy and quality of products.
- Stock shelves and displays with dry food items according to company standards, ensuring proper facing and organization.
- Maintain attractive and appealing displays to enhance customer experience and promote sales.
- Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers in locating dry food products, offering suggestions and recommendations as needed.
- Provide information about product features, including ingredients, nutritional content, pricing, and any special promotions.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns courteously and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of dry food products, including tracking expiration dates and ensuring proper rotation using FIFO method.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Communicate stock replenishment needs and inventory discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of shelves, displays, and storage areas in the dry food department.
- Follow sanitation and safety guidelines for handling and storing dry food products to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
- Dispose of expired or damaged products according to company policies and procedures.
