• Key Responsibilities:
• 
  1. Database Management:
  o Design, implement, and manage hospital database systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  o Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
  2. Security and Compliance:
  o Implement and maintain database security, ensuring patient data confidentiality and compliance with local healthcare regulations (e.g., PHIP in Pakistan).
  o Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure data integrity and availability.
  3. Performance Tuning:
  o Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve database performance issues to ensure quick and efficient data retrieval.
  o Optimize database systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  
  4. Data Integrity and Quality:
  o Ensure the accuracy and consistency of patient and operational data across the databases.
  o Perform regular data audits and clean-up tasks to maintain data quality.
  5. Support and Maintenance:
  o Provide support for database issues, including after-hours support as needed.
  o Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, procedures, and processes.
  6. Development Support:
  o Assist developers with database design, query optimization, and integration with hospital management systems.
  o Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and other database code.
  7. Project Management:
  o Participate in hospital IT projects, ensuring database requirements are met.
  o Collaborate with project managers to define database tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
  8. Reporting and Analysis:
  o Develop and manage data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  o Generate reports and perform data analysis to support hospital operations, research, and decision-making.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  · Certifications: Database certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator).
  · Experience with healthcare databases: Knowledge of hospital information systems (HIS) and electronic health records (EHR).
  

Job Details:

• Experience: 5 + years
• Work Timings: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
  
• Work Days: Monday - Friday
  
• Location: Islamabad
