Position: Crane Operator (110t)
Location: Reko Diq Mine Site-Baluchistan
Qualification
- Valid certification or license to operate pick up and carry cranes, with specific experience in handling 15-ton capacity cranes.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional vocational training or certification in crane operation is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 -10 years of experience as a crane operator, with proficiency in operating large-capacity cranes in construction or industrial settings.
Requirements
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness (Dover test).
- Proven experience as a crane operator in construction, manufacturing, or related industries, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
- In-depth knowledge of crane operation techniques, load capacities, and safety protocols.
- Physical fitness and dexterity to operate controls and perform manual tasks in various weather conditions and environments.
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness to safely maneuver loads in confined spaces or challenging terrain.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the pick up and carry crane to lift and transport heavy loads according to project requirements and safety regulations.
- Assess loads to determine weight, balance, and proper lifting techniques to ensure safe operation.
- Skillfully maneuver the crane in various directions, including forward, backward, sideways, and rotating movements to accurately position loads.
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, or damage to property.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the crane to ensure optimal functionality, reporting any issues or defects for timely repair.
- Maintain clear communication with ground personnel and other team members to coordinate lifting operations effectively.
- Assist in the preparation of work sites by clearing obstacles, setting up outriggers, and ensuring stable ground conditions for crane operation.
- Identify and address any challenges or obstacles that may arise during lifting operations, finding solutions to ensure project continuity.
- Keep accurate records of lift operations, including load weights, distances, and any incidents or near misses encountered.
