Job Role / Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager of Security Operations, you will act as the Duty Security Officer of the Department during the assigned shift. You will also act as the liaison between the department and management and the non-management security staff and the customers, and visitors in the institution. You will ensure safe and secure environments at the campus during his shift through effective visitor control, emergency response, incident investigation, fire practices, mock drills, traffic control, campus patrolling, conflict resolution, and as per the guidelines and expectations provided/communicated by the Manager Security, etc. You will ensure deployment as per plan, and coordinate and supervise all the security personnel of assigned shift. You will assist the Manager of Security Operations in the training and administration of the personnel put under your supervision. You will monitor and report all important events to the Manager of Safety & Security and Administrator On Call during the tenure of the assigned shift. You will carry out any other task given to ensure the core activities and mission of the department. You will be responsible for covering the incidents that occurred during the shift for investigation. You will carry out liaison with police for MLO/other legal cases of patients and also coordinate and conduct VIP/VVIP visits to the Hospital during assigned shifts. You will remain on call for any special task to be performed during off days/holidays.

• Liaise with the Manager for the daily security program and carry out routine checks as directed. 
• Exercise effective Control/Supervision over his shift and correct deployment of force by taking regular rounds and spot checks. 
• Ensures that response to security requirements outside of the daily program and emergencies/ incidents is in accordance with the laid down policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Supervise the smooth functioning of the Security Control and maintenance of prescribed documents by physical inspection/ examination during his shift. 
• Advise Administrator On Call on Safety & Security issues on a required basis.
• Investigate incidents, prepare preliminary investigation report with recommendations by inspecting scene of the incident and examination of witnesses
• Will assist the Department Training Coordinator in imparting Training to security groups under his command.
• Supervise Quality initiatives/ CQI projects of security groups under his command.
• Will go to security control and ER for checking of Log Books, Orders and deployment, weapon and ammunition physical state.
• Ensure visitor control and ushering-out procedures during B & C shifts.
• Effective monitoring of SGs through supervisors, spot checks, and CCTV.
• Traffic management throughout the campus.
• Laying traps for undesired persons involved in undesired activities.
• Implement a loitering policy after ushering out at night through patrolling/spot checks.
• Any other task assigned by the Manager / Director of Safety & Security.

Requirements:

• Graduate from HEC recognized University.
• Retired Armed Forces Officer equivalent to Captain/Major rank. (Candidates with termination on disciplinary grounds/moral turpitude and / or withdrawn from Military Academy on any ground will not be considered)
• Candidates with relevant experience in a similar capacity preferably in a large security organization/ corporate sector will be preferred.
• Good interpersonal, and presentation skills in English & Urdu
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
• Good Computer skills particularly in MS Office Suite.
• Good Investigation and report writing skills.
• A motivated team player; able to lead the team by example.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
