Introduction;
The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

Responsibilities
you will be responsible to:
- visit health facilities to check vaccine record, cold chain maintenance, vaccine requirement etc
- train the health staff in uses, administrations, side effects, contra-indications of vaccines
- regularly monitor activities of vaccinators and other staffs in field and in health facilities and give on-site information whenever required.
- liaisons with higher administration, manager research, District Health Officer and his staff, UNICEF, health facility staff and personnel engaged in vaccination like vaccinators and lady health workers etc.
- maintain inventory of stocks like supply and uses of vaccines and other items used in vaccination.
- keep record of all activities related with vaccination.
- perform all other duties assigned to him time-to-time by the supervisor
Requirements;
You should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy / Doctor of Pharmacy
- registration with pharmacy council Pakistan
- 1-2 years’ experience of vaccines related work either with manufacturing firms/ distributors or UNICEF or with government agencies in storage,
- supply and cold chain maintenance of vaccines
- good knowledge of uses, administrations, side effects, contra-indications of vaccines used in Expanded Programme of Immunization (EPI)
- understand thoroughly and has ability to handle vaccines, maintain cold chain, make vaccine requirements
- should have some research experience. Experience of working in clinical trials would be preferrable
- sound knowledge of managing, storage and handling of investigational medicinal product for clinical trials.
- demonstrates excellent ability to work in teams
- ability to speak and understand and interpret in English, Urdu and Sindhi
- good knowledge of MS Office (at least Word, PowerPoint), internet browsing and searching primary, secondary and tertiary references
- willingness to work on weekends, holidays if required
