Job description:

The Chief Technical officer (CTO) will be responsible for overseeing the technical direction, development, and leadership of our engineering team. The CTO should provide sound technical leadership and partners with Project Managers throughout the organization to define the technology stack and engineering solutions. The CTO will assess and scale, maximize and drive – knowing know how to develop systems, leverage relationships, and set the technology vision.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the software teams, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative environment.
  
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and deployment.
  
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives and client needs.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
  
• Collaborate with teams to identify gaps and create strategic plans to ensure timely delivery of projects
  
• Lead a team of developers, engineers, and IT professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  
• Drive technological innovation within the company, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing cutting-edge solutions
  
• Build and nurture a team of strong development leaders and technical experts within the organization.
  
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic decisions and technical roadmaps.
  
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices, maintaining the security and integrity of our systems and data.
  
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect sensitive information. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
  
• Implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes.
  
• Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, understanding their needs and translating them into technical solutions.
  
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
  
• Manage resources, budgets, and timelines effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
  
• Act as a key point of contact for technical discussions and decisions, both internally and with clients.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  
• Extensive knowledge of multiple development stacks, including front-end, back-end, and full-stack development.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  
• Strong client-facing skills, with a track record of successfully managing client relationships and expectations.
  
• 7-10 years of experience in software development with a proven track record in leadership roles.
  
• Proven experience in developing and implementing technology strategies.
  
• Business acumen and the ability to align IT strategy with business objectives.
  
• Extensive knowledge of multiple development stacks, including front-end, back-end, and full-stack development.
  
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance standards is a plus.
  
• Strong knowledge of web development, data engineering, Software Architecture ad DevOps practices
  
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing engineering teams and projects.
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
  
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
