Position: Cataloguer
Location: Reko Diq Mine Site Balochistan
Qualification: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in library information management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in cataloguing, data management, or a related field.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in cataloguing software, databases, and inventory management systems (SAP).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with various departments.
- Ability to perform data entry tasks with high accuracy and maintain data integrity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve cataloguing issues.
- Knowledge of cataloguing standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Classify and catalogue materials, including products, supplies, and equipment, ensuring accurate data entry into the catalogue system.
- Assign unique identification codes, descriptions, and specifications to items for easy tracking and retrieval.
- Maintain and update the catalogue database, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Work closely with procurement, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date records for all items.
- Monitor and review catalogue data to identify inconsistencies, duplicates, or outdated information, taking corrective action as needed.
- Conduct regular audits of the catalogue system to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide support to internal departments by assisting with catalogue queries and ensuring timely access to catalogued items.
- Implement and maintain cataloguing standards and best practices, following company policies and industry guidelines.
- Assist in the development and improvement of cataloguing processes and systems, working closely with IT and operational teams.
- Generate reports and provide analysis on catalogue data to support decision-making and inventory management.
