About the job Café/Restaurant Manager

Job Purpose:


The Café/Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the café/restaurant. This includes managing staff, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, maintaining quality control, and ensuring that the business runs smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate should have experience in the food and beverage industry, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage financial performance.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all café/restaurant operations, including food preparation, presentation, and customer service.
  • Manage, train, and supervise staff to ensure excellent service and adherence to company standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Monitor and maintain health and safety standards, including cleanliness and food hygiene.
  • Ensure proper stock levels and manage supplier relationships.
  • Drive sales and profitability by managing operational costs, staff efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and maintain loyalty from existing ones.
  • Monitor financial performance, prepare reports, and suggest improvements to meet business targets.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5 to 8 years of experience managing cafés, restaurants, or similar establishments.
  • Proven track record in managing teams, customer service, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
