Business Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Business Analyst, you will analyze historical sales data to identify trends and factors affecting performance, develop and enhance sales forecasting models using advanced Excel techniques, and clean and structure large datasets with Power Query. You'll generate automated reports and dashboards, provide data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies, and collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams. Ensuring data accuracy, assisting in monthly EPD closing, supporting budget preparation, and participating in special projects are also key responsibilities. Your analytical skills and cross-functional collaboration will be vital in driving business success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze historical sales data to identify trends, patterns, and factors affecting sales performance.
• Develop and enhance sales forecasting models using advanced Excel techniques, including Power Pivot and DAX formulas.
• Clean, transform, and structure large datasets using Power Query for accurate and efficient data processing.
• Generate automated reports and dashboards to support sales teams and management in decision-making.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data-driven analysis to optimize sales strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to align forecasting models with business objectives.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing best practices in data management and validation.
• Assist in monthly EPD closing and reporting financial information on standard Area schedules.
• Support in the preparation of the Annual Budget and quarterly RLBEs cycle.
• Assist in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis.

Qualifications & Skills:

• MBA/ACCA/Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in sales data analysis and forecasting.
• Expertise in advanced Excel functions, including Power Pivot, DAX formulas, and data modeling.
• Strong proficiency in Power Query for data transformation and cleaning.
• Hands-on experience with large datasets and data visualization tools like Power BI (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex data into meaningful insights.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in sales analytics or a similar field.
