Job Brief:We are looking for highly skilled and experienced
Business Analyst to modernize and redevelop two legacy software systems into advanced web-based solutions using the latest technologies. These systems, critical for managing business operations, require comprehensive review and documentation to ensure their redevelopment aligns with current and future business needs.

Key Responsibilities:1. Requirement Gathering and Analysis
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand workflows, business processes and logic for both software systems.
- Elicit functional and technical requirements for the redevelopment of:
MS Access/SQL Server-based software.
VB 6.0/Oracle-based software & its sub modules.
2. Documentation Development
- Collaborate with Functional Teams, End Users, and Develop comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRD) for both systems.
- Create Functional Specifications and Technical Documentation that enable seamless redevelopment in modern web technologies.
- Map workflows, data structures, and user interactions for both systems.
3. Process Mapping and Gap Analysis
- Conduct process mapping of current workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Perform a gap analysis to ensure the new systems fully meet business requirements.
4.Technical Specification Development
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical documentation for developers.
- Ensure compatibility of the redeveloped systems with SQL Server backend.
- Outline the data migration strategy from the legacy Oracle and SQL Server databases to the new unified SQL Server backend.
5. Collaboration with Functional Teams
- Work closely with functional teams such as engineers, warehouse managers, and inspection teams to document business logic and engineering-specific requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:1. Technical Skills
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. Keeping in view the nature of business and functional teams, Engineering background would be an added advantage.
- Experience of Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in software development projects.
- Proven track record of working with Modern Web Technologies, MS Access, VB 6.0, SQL Server, and Oracle-based systems.
2. Tools:
- Proficiency in process mapping tools like MS Visio and documentation.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly SQL Server and Oracle.
3. Development Awareness
- Familiarity with modern web technologies, frameworks, APIs, and migration processes.
4. Engineering-Specific Skills (Additional Qualities)
- Understanding of engineering & construction processes, warehouse management, and inspection processes.
- Ability to bridge engineering logic with IT development needs.
5. Soft Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and gap analysis.
- Task & Stakeholders Management
- Teamwork, Strong follow-up
Preferred Certifications
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional).
