As a Brand Manager – Private Label Development at Pakwheels, you will be responsible for building and scaling the private label portfolio by identifying the right vendors, overseeing product development, and managing distribution. The role requires expertise in category management, stock forecasting, compliance, and P&L ownership while working closely with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors to develop a competitive private label product range.
- Work with suppliers to ensure product quality, pricing, and timely availability.
- Develop and implement private label strategies to differentiate from competitors
- Analyze sales trends to forecast stock requirements and optimize inventory levels.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment and stock availability.
- Ensure minimal stockouts and excess inventory through demand planning.
- Develop strategic partnerships with brands to enhance AutoStore offerings.
- Work on exclusive brand collaborations to expand product assortment.
- Negotiate and structure agreements to ensure mutually beneficial relationships.
- Ensure all private label products comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor product testing, certifications, and legal requirements.
- Maintain high standards in packaging, branding, and consumer safety.
- Own the P&L for private label brands, driving revenue and profitability.
- Develop pricing strategies to maximize margins while remaining competitive.
- Identify new monetization opportunities within the e-commerce platform.
- Collaborate with the tech team to enhance private label presence on the app.
- Work on monetization strategies through in-app promotions and visibility.
- Expand distribution networks to improve availability and customer reach.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in brand management, private label development, or category management.
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods industry preferred.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Expertise in vendor negotiations and supplier relationship management.
- Proficiency in demand forecasting and inventory planning tools.
- Strong understanding of compliance, quality control, and branding.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to drive P&L ownership and revenue growth strategies.
