We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.


In this role, you will:


  • Work collaboratively, on rotational shifts, in a 24*7 Global Batch Operations team
  • Monitor Incident ticket queue and Alert Console for batch issues and follow Standard Operating Procedures to recover level1 batch issues
  • Undertake batch recovery actions on Control-M, IWS, CA7 and IBM i batches
  • Have experience in File transmission tools like SFG and CD
  • Escalate Batch issues to Application Support teams within the stipulated SLAs
  • Create and maintain procedures for any new Application batches and tasks
  • Engage in a timely and effective way with Stakeholders from IT Infrastructure, Incident Management and Business teams during crisis calls to support recovery of Application batches
  • Demonstrate efficiency in managing & delivering tasks independently
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with stakeholders, both written and verbal.
  • Provide timely and accurate status updates on any issues or work requests
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and under own initiative with a sense of ownership and accountability
  • Adhere to HSBC policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working, exceptional and project activities, and raise any concerns about actual or potential issues promptly, in line with reporting and escalation procedures.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
  • Apply policies, procedures, practices and standards to the allocated tasks, taking responsibility for own actions, to ensure the achievement of high levels of quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance.
