Job Description

The ideal candidate will establish and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders, the program manager, and software architect to ensure the team's objectives are met. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing project plans, including defining scope, schedule, risks, deliverables, and resources. Candidate will oversee and motivate a cross-functional team, collaborate with process audit and compliance teams, set team goals, and contribute to the improvement of project management processes.


Roles and Responsibilities:


1. Project Planning and Coordination:


  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or deviations from the plan.

2. Stakeholder Communication:


  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate project objectives, timelines, and updates effectively to stakeholders.
  • Address stakeholder concerns and ensure alignment with project goals.

3. Team Leadership and Management:


  • Provide support to project team members and facilitate collaboration.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor individual and team performance.
  • Foster a positive team environment and promote motivation and engagement.

4. Risk Management:


  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address issues and obstacles to minimize project disruptions.
  • Monitor changes in project scope or requirements and assess their impact on timelines and resources.

5. Quality Assurance:


  • Ensure adherence to project quality standards and best practices.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on deliverables to maintain high standards of work.
  • Implement corrective actions as needed to address quality issues.

6. Documentation and Reporting:


  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, reports, and records.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for project stakeholders.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices for future reference.

7. Resource Management:


  • Coordinate with resource managers to allocate resources.
  • Optimize resource utilization to maximize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor resource availability and escalate any shortages or conflicts.

8. Continuous Improvement:


  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Implement changes and adjustments to project workflows based on lessons learned.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project team.

9. Compliance and Governance:


  • Ensure project activities comply with relevant regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Implement project governance frameworks and procedures as required.
  • Facilitate project audits and reviews to ensure compliance and accountability.

10. Training and Development:


  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Facilitate training sessions or workshops to enhance team skills and competencies.
  • Support professional development opportunities for project team members

Requirements:


  • Hold a BS/MS Computer Science, project management degree from a reputable institution.
  • 2+ years of experience in Associate project manager role or 5+ years in Project coordinator role.
  • Excellent English communication, leadership, and presentation skills and an easy going and likable personality is a must.
  • Must be an excellent people manager, able to lead cross functional teams with respect.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • well versed with waterfall/Agile methodologies, Skilled with tools like JIRA, DevOps.
  • Experience in Dynamics365 implementation will be a plus.
  • Familiarity with CMMi level processes will be a plus.
  • Past experience of hands-on coding/development in Software Development Projects will be a plus.
