Aga Khan University’s Office of the Registrar in Pakistan is primarily responsible for student recruitment/outreach and admissions, maintaining the integrity of student academic records, maintenance of the University's database, convocation ceremonies, providing secretariat support to the academic committees and complying with the University’s academic quality assurance policies.

Job Role / Responsibilities:                                      


You will be responsible for:


·Managing admissions (end to end) for Medical college (Undergraduate and Graduate) programmes, including the processing of applications, scheduling of interviews, responding to emails, developing the shortlisting and final acceptance data; updating the brochure and relevant promotional content/material.


·Scrutinize, verify online applications and maintain/update records of applications in the Registrar’s Office student system at different stages of admission process.


·Developing reports pertaining to applicant/admission data for purposes of analysis/ Committee presentation.


·Providing admission information (on telephone, email, zoom and in person) and campus tours to potential national and international candidates who visit AKU.


·Scheduling, coordinating interviews and typing interview reports.


·Preparing shortlist and relevant data for committees


·Liaise with the programme offices to ensure completion of the application, interview, and admission process.


·developing the final selection rank order based on committee decisions and communication to students.


·Recording and maintaining data related to student admission offers in the Medical College programmes.


·Assist in completing the assignments required for organizing AKU undergraduate and Graduate Tests in Medical College.


·Participate in conducting admission tests.


·Assist in the post-test activities including receiving response sheets from team leaders, marking attendance; manual cross checking of test results.


·Assisting in admission activities including the compilation and crosschecking of OMRs and results.


·Participate in Day One activities, awards night, and convocation. Travel outstation for facilitating admission tests, interviews and outreach.


·Organizing meetings, recording and writing meeting minutes.


·Managing end-end logistics required to support outreach activities.


·Any other task assigned by Supervisor/ Departmental Head


Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:


You should have: 


  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably Masters in the related field.
  • minimum three years’ experience of working directly with students, preferably in the higher education system
  • Knowledge of People Soft Campus Solutions or proficiency in the use of MS Office including MS Excel will be preferred 
  • Working knowledge of marketing academic products and flair for preparing creative marketing material 
  • Language competency, both written and verbal, and strong inter personal skills 
  • Willingness to travel for short and long durations and make presentation in Institutions of Higher Education.
