Associate, Internal AuditEntity: Aga Khan University
Location: Karachi, Pakistan

Job Role / Responsibilities:Reporting to the Manager, Internal Audit Division, you will be responsible for successful completion of assigned audit assignments as per the annual audit plan.
Specific responsibilities include:
- conduct audit of assigned areas in compliance with methodology and best practice
- execute audit assignment as outlined in the annual audit plan
- maintain confidentiality and sensitivity of information pertaining to the organization
- exercise confidentiality and professional integrity with respect to handling the information during the course of audit
- assess, understand and evaluate risk together with determining whether associated controls are designed effectively
- test operating effectiveness of controls
- document work papers and test results
- validate issues with supporting evidence and corroborate factual accuracy with auditees and/or colleagues
- timely initiation, well planned execution and completion of audits as per standard time required
- carry out regular follow-up with the department to update the status of outstanding recommendation and ensure timely implementation
- maintain up-to date and orderly filing system for all documents, correspondences, reports and other material
- develop and maintain contacts with departments on an on-going basis
- assist supervisor in achieving the department’s goals and objectives
- carry out other special assignments as directed by the supervisor from time to time
- update the auto audit software for audit status and also the status of management actions on fortnightly basis and prepare and submit to the supervisor
- participate in the preparation of the audit plan and its related reports.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:You should have:- ACMA / ACCA or part qualified ACMA / ACCA or Master’s Degree
- additional certifications in Internal Audit such as CIA/CISA would be preferred, including exposure to International Internal Audit Standards and;
- minimum two years of relevant work experience
- ability to use MS Office for report writing, data analysis and making presentations
- good understanding of internal audit processes
- strong interpersonal skills to be able to build excellent working relationship with other departments
- ability to converse and write effectively in English, including strong report writing skills
- ability to analyse financial reports and perform data analysis for completeness, integrity and accuracy.
