Job Role / Responsibilities:You will be primarily responsible for payables management and accounting.Specifically, you will be responsible to;
- liaise with vendors, users, payments team and ERP for day to day matters including payments, reconciliations, etc.
- ensure that assets and liabilities are adjusted timely, liabilities are settled timely and receivables are collected timely
- supervision of staff who process and approve payments. Ensuring that all payments are made well on time and institutions commitments are fulfilled
- preparation and monitoring of monthly financials/reports/reconciliations for different stakeholders
- take active part in monthly, quarterly and annual General Ledger closing related activities
- coordinate with ERP and IT for accounting and payables module improvements, automation and troubleshooting
- facilitatereporting to users within and outside Finance (including for construction, budget variances, etc.)
- explore options to identify process improvements and efficiencies through ERP and other relevant tools
- facilitate in preparation of monthly financial reports
- review and finalize all schedules/ reconciliation for assets and liabilities
- perform quarterly and annual closing related activities
- analysis for asset and liabilities on regular basis
- facilitate reporting team during external audits and coordinating with auditors.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:- ICMA finalist / Masters/ ACCA finalist/ Bachelors pursuing Masters degree
- minimum 2-3years' experience
- good knowledge of accounting principles
- strong analytical skills
- good interpersonal and communication
- proficiency in use of computer packages specially MS Office
- ability to manage teams and their utilisation and meet strict timeline.
