The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Associate, Family Medicine.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
- providing administrative support to faculty within the department in clinical and research activities;
- assisting faculty members in presentation and lectures;
- managing the PGME program activities including coordination of induction process of residents, development of rotas and teaching planners with Program Director;
- assisting PGME Program Director in ensuring that all ACGME-I policies are being met within the PGME program. Ensure documentation of all policies and amendments for reporting to ACGME-I;
- coordinating Resident affairs including their registration, logistic support for Resident’s area and membership in collaboration with various University units;
- coordinating logistical arrangement for rotations including correspondence both with on and off campus rotations;
- maintaining and update individual files and evaluations of all Residents;
- maintaining records for credentialing and re-credentialing for all FM faculty and medical officers;
- assisting department and faculty members in different accreditations activities of university;
- assisting with ongoing departmental CME activities;
- providing administrative support to QI committee;
- maintaining clinical audit results of all credentialed faculty and medical officers;
- creating and share OPPE reports of all credentialed faculty and medical officers with the Office of Credentialing and Clinical Affairs;
- organizing Family Medicine meetings, preparing agenda and taking minutes;
- preparing different type of monthly reports of Department;
- arranging transport/travel arrangements for departmental activities;
- raising online requestions for equipment and supplies. Follow up with department for the timely delivery of supplies and equipment’s;
- serving as a safety coordinator for the department. Coordinate with Safety and Security department for conducting environmental rounds and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken;
- any other administrative task as assigned by the Supervisor/Programme Director.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, however Masters will be preferred.
- Two to three years of related experience.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures preferably within a health service organisation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and knowledge of related Office Packages.
- Good command over written and spoken English.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
