The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.As an equal opportunity employer, AKU believes in promoting a diverse and inclusive culture and is committed to adopt appropriate standards for safeguarding and promoting a respectful relationship with and between diverse workforce of its faculty, staff, trainees, volunteers, beneficiaries, wider communities, and other stakeholders with whom it works, including children and vulnerable adults and expects all employees/trainees and partners to share this commitment.This is a close-ended position..ResponsibilitiesYour will be responsible for the overall leadership of sections related to fleet management; travel and accommodation; of research staff and faculty; and work with all the stakeholders to assure that the services are prepared for start-up.Specific responsibilities include:•    Coordinate with Project Leads and PI to facilitate in procurement of assets and supplies as per the requirement of the project;•    Follow the complete process including raising request on system till procurement of asset as per the standard procedures•    Coordinate with warehouse for issuance of material, equipment, furniture and stock items for field sites;•    Coordinate with support department and other stake holders for smooth process•    Take continuous follow ups from support department for ensuring the completeness of work on time•    Coordinate with external vendors for the quotations for purchase of capital items and lab supplies;•    Timely maintenance of database to ensure proper logging of inventory and supplies on regular basis to avoid any discrepancies•    Ensure all items issued are properly entered in the database with all relevant details•    Visit field sites for audit purpose of equipment, medicines, and supplies;•    Upon completion of project or closure of field site, properly take over the items issued as per the database; RequirementsYou should have:a Masters degree in Business Management/Economics/Administrative Sciences4 to 6 years of work experience on Administrative position preferably in a Health Care Organization.excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to describe complex ideas in clear and meaningful forms and to present data and information to various audiencesthe ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively resilience and ability to cope up with work pressure and stringent deadlinesthe demonstrated ability to work in a professional, multi-disciplinary team as a group leader, facilitator, or participant.the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to work under pressure with patience and poise.willingness to travel and work in the communities / rural field sites.
