Job Title: Applications Developer
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Applications Developer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom applications and automations within the Google Workspace environment to streamline our internal processes across various departments, including Finance, HR, and more. Your expertise in Google Workspace, Apps Script, and related technologies will be crucial in improving efficiency and productivity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze current business processes and identify areas for automation and improvement.
- Design, develop, and deploy custom applications using Apps Script and other relevant technologies within Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Drive, etc.).
- Integrate Google Workspace applications with other systems and services as needed.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all applications and automations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to developed applications and automations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Workspace features, updates, and best practices.
Must Have Skills:
- Up to 2 years of experience in software development, scripting, or automation
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Javascript.
- Proven experience in developing applications and automations within the Google Workspace environment.
- Strong proficiency in Apps Script, including experience with:
- Google Workspace APIs (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, etc.)
- Data manipulation and analysis using Apps Script.
- UI design and development using Apps Script (HTML Service, Card Service).
- Error handling and debugging techniques.
- Version control and code management best practices.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with REST APIs and webhooks.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
