JOB PURPOSE


The Assistant Channel & Whitespace Manager is responsible for managing and growing sales through various distribution channels. This role focuses on executing channel strategies and identifying new markets, building relationships with partners, analysing channel performance, and supporting the field team in driving and maximizing channel effectiveness.


WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE


  • Coordinate with all the four BGs for the execution of channel and whitespace strategy.


  • Assist CSPs in D4C and optimizing relationships with field stakeholders.


  • Ensuring Channel plans are as per design guidelines and aligned budgeting with finance teams


  • Ensure governance of channel plan in the field while tracking performance and managing channel agreements and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.


  • Oversee the appointment of dealers, retailers, and stockists to maximize reach in whitespaces.


  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure effective communication and execution of channel programs.


  • Identify new growth opportunities and drive penetration into untapped areas.


  • Ensure efficient supply chain/ logistics operations and building and managing distribution networks while ensuring product availability in rural areas.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED


Experiences & Qualifications


  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Customer Development in FMCG industry – preferably in sales/ key account management


  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline


  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.


  • Have experience working and leading in cross-functional teams.

  • Be a strategic, highly adaptable, and entrepreneurial person.


  • Have strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.


  • Have strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
