About the team
The Ads team at Careem is building the future of retail media in the Middle East. As part of the team, you’ll have the chance to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where you’ll support some of the world’s leading brands, CPGs, and media agencies in delivering meaningful ad experiences to millions of Careem users. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of retail media and advertising.


What you'll do


  • Manage the end-to-end execution of in-app advertising campaigns for grocery products, ensuring alignment with the category management team and the merchandising calendar.
  • Execute and oversee ad placements on the app's homepage, category pages, and campaign landing pages, ensuring optimal visibility and engagement.
  • Ensure all discounts, promotions, and sponsored products are effectively highlighted within the app, driving conversion and maximizing ad performance.
  • Conduct daily audits and reviews of in-app ads, ensuring seamless execution and an optimal user experience.
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics, derive actionable insights, and optimize placements to improve click-through rates (CTR) and conversion rates.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams such as marketing, category managers and merchandising teams to ensure ad content aligns with overall brand and business goals.
  • Develop and implement creative solutions to overcome challenges in ad engagement, ensuring ads are engaging, relevant, and effective in driving sales.

What you'll need


  • Atleast 2 years of experience in digital advertising, in-app marketing, or ecommerce merchandising, preferably within the FMCG or grocery sector.
  • Strong understanding of in-app advertising strategies and digital campaign management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of working cross-functionally with teams at all levels of management.
  • Proven track record of delivering against sales and conversion targets.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
  • Ability to efficiently oversee multiple campaigns while ensuring precision and attention to detail.
