Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist who is passionate about accounts and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As a Accounts Payable Specialist at DigitalOcean, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to


What You’ll Do:
  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including invoice coding, getting them approved, and enter for payment.
  • Ensure compliance with taxation laws, including sales tax, VAT requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Procurement,Product and Design, marketing and FP&A to optimise workflows and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Analyse and enhance existing AP processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain vendor records and ensure timely communication with vendors for inquiries or issue resolution by keeping a deep insight of Accounts Payable Mailbox.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of Purchase Orders and Requisitions.
Key Metrics:
  • Invoice Processing Time: Ensure timely process of invoices within agreed timelines.
  • Payment Accuracy Rate: Maintain an accuracy rate in payments.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with tax filings and reporting deadlines.
  • Vendor Query Resolution: Resolve 90% of vendor queries within two business days.
  • Reconciliations : Account reconciliations and identifying and resolving discrepancies.
What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean:
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in accounts payable or a similar role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and financial systems.
  • Strong understanding of taxation regulations, including sales tax, VAT.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Coupa, Concur, FloQast, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure accuracy in payments and reports.
Education and Certifications:
  • Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ACCA or similar certification preferred
