Sr. Completions Engineer

The Completions Engineer is responsible to design well completion as per production requirement from the sub surface team. 

Requirements

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED​

• Engineering degree, or equivalent. 
  
• At least 5 preferably 10+ years relevant experience in E&P in well engineering with knowledge of well planning, well design, well programming and well construction including completions.
  
• Expert knowledge in well process safety during construction and subsequent well intervention operations.
  
• Expert knowledge in industry completion equipment and tools for all the main artificial lift systems
  
• Expert knowledge in well life cycle integrity aspects
  
• Solid understanding in well surveillance requirement.
  
• Good oral and written Technical English capability (communication skills)
  
• Proven HSE and Operational leadership abilities in onshore oilfield operations.
  

REPORTING:

The Completions Engineer will report to Well Engineering Manager.

LOCATION:

The job is categorized as Muscat base, on permanent bases. Due to the operational nature of the role, it is required to travel to location from time to time.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:  

The completion engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible and Accountable for Completion Design and on-site installation.
  
• Responsible for the development of optimized designs as per the technology plan to deliver wells for current and future possible development campaigns.
  
• Report to Snr Well Engineer and work closely with Production Technologist and the Filed Production Supervisor.  
  
• Make sure completion material inventory and lead times are well managed. 
  
• Support production testing operations and weekend duty cover.
  
• Deliver completion and intervention improvement initiatives to support production team
  
• Contract holder for completion and intervention contracts. (examples such as: slick-line, Coiled Tubing, Liner hangers).
  
• NPT and event investigation and reporting when required.
  
• Provide trainee ‘mentor’ support.
  
• Performance related Contractor supervision and management.
