The overall development will include a 1,200 square meters Talise Spa, a diving centre, a wide range of sports and leisure facilities, a selection of restaurants, bars and cafes and a kids club. The resort will also include conference and banquet facilities to cater for Oman’s growing attraction as a destination for conferences, meetings and large-scale events. The resort forms part of a larger development that includes 300 high-end residential townhouses and villas, taking advantage of some of the most beautiful, unspoilt coastline in the Middle East.Purpose Assist the Executive Chef / Chef de Cuisine in supervising and managing activities related to the kitchen including menu creation, management of kitchen staff, ordering and purchasing of inventory while ensuring smooth operations and high service delivery and quality standards.Main DutiesPrepare and cook high-quality food according to menu guidelines, recipes, and instructions from the Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine.Follow correct hygienic food handling practices, ensuring compliance with restaurant's cleaning and waste disposal procedures.Assist Executive Chef / Chef de Cuisine in setting and maintaining service and food standards aligned with Jumeirah Group's policies and quality standards.Communicate any section-related issues promptly to the Executive Sous Chef and implement directives to ensure smooth kitchen operations.Collaborate with the Executive Chef / Chef de Cuisine in developing new seasonal and creative menu ideas using premium ingredients.Manage staff training under the guidance of the Executive Chef / Chef de Cuisine, ensuring all practices are followed to maintain consistent quality.Implement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures, providing clear instructions to subordinates and ensuring adherence for quality service delivery.Motivate subordinates and contribute to identifying opportunities for process improvement and productivity enhancement.Stay updated with industry trends, new culinary techniques, and innovations to enhance culinary offerings.Optimize the use of restaurant resources such as food, energy, labor, and water to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
