The project:  


A major urban development project comprising of new homes, commercial properties, public spaces and smart urban mobility. Mace have the opportunity to develop and lead and implement the PMO structure to deliver this city development.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • To own the SharePoint system within client projects and programmes and to act as internal consultant and leader at project level.


  • To configure, develop, support, administrate, and enhance SharePoint related solutions within client projects and programmes based on Mace project delivery methodology, standards, and templates.


  • Define and manage system security and data protection in line with Mace policy and the policies and standards defined for the project.


  • Preparation of training materials and conducting training, user support; supporting inductions and awareness events.


  • Liaise with Mace corporate IT, partner IT functions and other stakeholder IT functions, client and supply chain partners.


  • Establish and chair the SharePoint/PDMS steering group within client projects - where there may be more than 1 owner for the system.


  • Data migration into and out of the system - as may be required.


  • Documentation of the system architecture, security and configuration as would be appropriate to be able to hand over the system to an alternative developer and/or the client at the end of the project.


  • Keep your knowledge of SharePoint and other relevant applications up to date by undertaking training and development, independently or as directed.


  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements that then form the basis of development activity.


  • Project manage either technical development or content development.


  • Contribute to the digital centre of excellence by sharing knowledge, case studies and training.


  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.


You’ll need to have:


  • Relevant degree qualification.


  • Proven experience working on city development, programme, projects.


  • Knowledge transfer and mentoring experience.


You’ll also have:


  • Professional membership or working towards demonstrable professional or personal development.


  • Understanding of SharePoint development best practices.


  • Experience in the successful delivery phase of relevant projects and programmes.


  • Programme management expertise.


  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.


  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.


  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
