Job Description: 


Experience


Senior Planning Engineer: minimum of 15 years experience in project management of


oil and gas facilities, Primavera Planning Software (P6), and SAP utilisation in oil and gas


projects


Planning Engineer:  minimum of 8 years experience in project management of oil and


gas facilities, Primavera Planning Software (P6), and SAP utilisation in oil and gas projects


General


Proficiency in the use of PCs, data management and planning software for oil & gas


projects.


Experience with Primavera P6 planning is a must. 


Shall have the ability and experience to build logic precedence networks, challenge the


logic proposed by other disciplines in order to optimise project and maintenance planning. 


Shall be able to build resource activity plans, including ongoing update, change control,


progress reporting, etc.


Good communication skills.


Particular Proficiency in project control, planning and reporting software.


Personal


Requires a good general multi-discipline knowledge / awareness.


The job will require a lot of interaction with other disciplines and therefore good inter-


personal and communication skills are required.


Principal


Accountabilities:


Build overall plans and schedules for the execution phase of projects, provides plans and


schedules for ad-hoc construction service requests, integrated maintenance plans.


Responsible for work activity progress reporting and regular update of plans and


schedules.


Work in close co-operation with Company Engineering & Operations planning department,


for engineering, construction, and CSU planning, inclusive reporting, Primavera P6 entry,


SAP daily service entry, and Bi-weekly/Monthly reports submissions.


Resource optimisation / prioritisation in conjunction with Project Engineers / Construction /


Maintenance Co-ordinators(s).


Early warning of plan delays and proposals for mitigation to Project Engineers /


Construction / Maintenance Co-ordinators for resolution.


Provide assistance in job preparation to Project Engineers.


Provide cost & planning services in support of engineering, procurement, construction,


commissioning & start-up (CSU) activities.


Develop, in conjunction with project engineers, design engineers, construction engineers,


activity plans/schedules for projects engineering, procurement, construction, CSU activities.


He/she shall report to the Technical Service Manager, and area Maintenance/integrity &


Construction Site Co-ordinator for day-day activities.


Integrated Activity Planner at Coastal is under this position for maintenance overall


planning.


Qualification Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Eng.) and membership of


internationally accepted applicable professional Institute.
