Job Summary: A varied role with responsibility for Cubic Defense Doha program administration, including covering programs in Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and assisting in wider regional business as needed.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:



Lead on Cubic Defense Doha (CDD) Global Trade Compliance. + Ensure that CDD, all associated programs and employees are trained, fully conversant in Export Control policies, procedures, and processes and applying them correctly.
+ Conduct and track refresher training as required.
+ Enable appropriate and compliant file keeping and file access.
+ Act as the CDD Point of Contact to the Cubic Corporate Global Trade Compliance Team.
Lead on Cubic MENA Security Awareness tracking and understanding. + Ensure that the GM and Program Mangers are fully aware of risks associated to our people and operations in Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and United Arab Emirates.
+ Ensure that any Cubic travel within the Cubic MENA area of interest is provided up to date security information and advice.
+ Manage the International SOS support and the data needed to facilitate a response to an emergency.
Lead on CDD HR matters. + Be the CDD Human Capital champion. Human Capital is one of the five pillars that align Cubic’s priorities across our organization to help us stay focused and achieve the best outcome for our people as well as our customers and partners.
+ Act as the CDD Point of Contact for regional and Cubic Corporate HR.
+ Ensure that HR applications provide the support needed by CDD managers and employees and are being used correctly.
+ Ensure that the health cover provided to CDD employees and their families is efficient and effective.
Lead on CDD Program Support matters:+ Co-ordinate the logistics provision for the Qatar, Oman and Kuwait programs.
+ Support the logistics provision required by the wider regional business as needed.
+ Co-ordinate the deployment and repatriation of CDD employees.
+ Act as the CDD Point of Contact for regional and Cubic Corporate IT.
+ Act as the CDD Point of Contact for Cubic Worldwide Policy compliance and the tailoring of local policies to meet local conditions and cultural requirements.
Support CDD Recruitment and Retention+ Ensure that CDD onboarding and outboarding processes are efficient and updated.
+ Provide or signpost compulsory and suggested training to managers and employees.
+ Track the completion of compulsory and other training.
Guide and support Cubic teams and senior leaders as necessary for visits to Doha. Comply with Cubic’s values and adherence to all company policy and procedures. In particular, comply with the code of conduct, quality, security and occupational health, safety and environmental policies and procedures. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time-to-time, as may be reasonably required of them. Travel to various locations to facilitate visiting CDD personnel at or near their respective work sites as part of this support role.

Minimum Job Requirements:



Skills knowledge and experience:
Essential:
Fluent in English Familiarity in working with and protecting export-controlled and ITAR products and data. Prior experience working in a remote and/or foreign environment. Working at management level. US Citizen. MS Office.
Desirable:
Prior military experience. Prior experience in working in the Middle East.

Education and qualifications



Essential:
Completion of a college qualification in a related field; or equivalent technical education and military experience. Must possess a driving license.
Desirable:
An Undergraduate Degree/Bachelor’s Degree.

Ability to adapt to a remote and/or foreign environment with associated skills in diplomacy and cultural awareness. Diligent, with attention to detail and high levels of integrity and discipline. Discreet at all times with a high degree of awareness of when to share and not share information. Good inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate in an efficient and flexible manner. Ability to work as part of a team towards individual and shared goals. Ability to work with foreign and military personnel. Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiatives and under pressure. Willingness to travel as needed in order to deliver company objectives as may reasonably be required
