Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Seniro/Head waiter for our prestigious client in Muscat, Oman.As a Senior/Head Waiter, you will oversee and manage the waitstaff, ensure smooth restaurant operations, and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Your leadership and attention to detail will play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience, driving service standards, and ensuring that all operational and customer service objectives are met.


Preferably: Indian National







Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision:


    • Lead, train, and mentor junior waitstaff, ensuring they follow service standards and deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Assign tasks and manage shifts for waitstaff to ensure smooth operation of the dining area.
    • Motivate and inspire team members to provide excellent customer service and improve performance.
    • Handle conflicts or difficult situations with guests or staff in a professional manner.
  • Customer Service:


    • Greet guests, provide menus, and ensure they are seated in a timely and courteous manner.
    • Offer menu recommendations, answer questions, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
    • Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns swiftly and professionally, ensuring the best possible guest experience.
    • Ensure all guests receive prompt, professional, and attentive service throughout their meal.
  • Operational Efficiency:


    • Oversee the daily operations of the dining area, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
    • Ensure all orders are communicated accurately and promptly to the kitchen and bar staff.
    • Monitor food and beverage quality to ensure it meets the restaurant’s standards before serving.
    • Ensure smooth communication between kitchen and waitstaff, optimizing service flow.
  • Quality Control and Standards:


    • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dining room, ensuring all tables and service areas are properly prepared and well-stocked.
    • Uphold the restaurant's hygiene and safety standards in the dining area.
    • Ensure that all staff adhere to health, safety, and food safety regulations.
  • Training and Development:


    • Provide ongoing training and guidance to junior staff on restaurant policies, service techniques, and menu knowledge.
    • Conduct performance reviews for waitstaff and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
    • Organize team meetings to discuss operational improvements, customer feedback, and team performance.
  • Sales and Upselling:


    • Encourage and coach the team to upsell food and beverage items, increasing sales and enhancing guest satisfaction.
    • Monitor and evaluate customer feedback to improve service delivery.
  • Administrative and Financial Tasks:


    • Manage opening and closing duties for the front-of-house, ensuring proper cash handling, tip distribution, and cleanliness.
    • Assist in the management of the restaurant's inventory, ensuring adequate supplies of linens, silverware, and service items.
    • Monitor daily sales and report any discrepancies to the management team.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Waiter, Head Waiter, or in a supervisory role within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially when handling guest complaints or service issues.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and develop staff.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional hospitality management qualifications are a plus.
Duty: 9 hours per day 6 days a week (with one hour break)
