The project:


A major urban development project comprising of new homes, commercial properties, public spaces and smart urban mobility.  Mace have the opportunity to develop and lead and implement the PMO structure to deliver this city development.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Designing the delivery of PDMS as dictated by project requirements.


  • Mentoring, supporting, and managing more junior members of staff to deliver specific requirements for the client.


  • Recommending continual improvements and potential future developments to clients where appropriate and supporting recommendations with expert knowledge and experience.


  • Identifying potential business development opportunities within own client areas and making project controls directors and above aware of these leads/prospects.


  • Reporting and performing management specialist, stays up to date with key industry/professional trends.


  • Being able to provide effective and timely advice to clients.


  • Understanding of data management.


  • Understanding the role and future career paths available from that position.


  • Having excellent attention to detail and ability to validate and check inputs, recording, and reporting produced, providing basic commentary and analysis.


  • Influencing clients to accept proposals and recommendations.


  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.


You’ll need to have:


  • Relevant degree qualification.


  • Proven experience working on city development, programme, projects.


  • Knowledge transfer and mentoring experience.


You’ll also have:


  • Professional membership or working towards demonstrable professional or personal development.


  • Significant experience in change management.


  • Experience in the successful delivery phase of relevant projects and programmes.


  • Programme management expertise.


  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.


  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.


  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.


  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
