Job Description

As part of the Procurement Department, provide support to the team in purchase of MRO (Maintenance Repair & Operations) with best possible price. 


Key Deliverables:


  • You will be responsible to coordinate and check with operations and support function departments for requirements of various items / Services including MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations). 
  • Prepare RFQ and collect quotations from suppliers. 
  • Prepare price comparison sheet in line with Procurement Policy. 
  • Negotiate with the suppliers for advantageous terms and conditions including preferential pricing, wherever possible. 
  • You will be responsible to prepare purchase order for the approved / selected supplier. 
  • Discuss and collect all the necessary information like signing authorities, bank account details, delivery terms, logistics, preferred mode of transports, etc. to ensure that right details are entered in the Supplier Master. 
  • Coordinate with the logistics department to manage and handle transport contractors and forwarders for supply/delivery of materials. 
  • Co-ordinate deliveries of local & overseas items and monitor supplier 
  • performance. 
  • Responsible to manage and handle the yearly contracts with suppliers 
  • For MRO items. 
  • Maintain & update the ERP purchase module and shipment tracking on 
  • timely basis. 
  • Adhere to company policies, IMS standards and group code of ethics 
  • for purchase. 
  • Keep the user department informed and updated on the delivery 
  • schedule. 
  • Ensure in case of project works all drawings and sketches must be forwarded to technical team for their approval before proceeding the work. 
  • All approvals and comments to be clearly communicated and maintained in files. 
  • Prepare and submit matched documents (GRN, ERP documents & Supplier Invoice) to Finance for timely payment.

Job Profile:


Qualification:


  • Technical level education/ bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).

Skills and Knowledge:


  • Documentation skills. 
  • Understand and follow instructions. 
  • Understanding of confidentiality and Company Code of Ethics. 
  • ERP and basic word and excel. 
  • Basic costing knowledge. 
  • Attention to detail and strong organization skills. 
  • Organization of all kinds of documents. 
  • Negotiations skills. 
  • Analytical skills. 

Experience:


  • 3+ years of experience in purchase.

Business understanding:


  • Purchase process & policies of the Company. 
  •  Good knowledge of all the documentation required.
